MSP®: Managing Successful Programmes

The NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) National General Certificate is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK.
It has been designed to provide an appropriate breadth of underpinning knowledge for non-specialists in occupational safety and health to enable them to discharge more effectively their organisational duties or functions with respect to workplace health and safety.
NVQ’s are work-oriented vocational qualifications. Unlike traditional qualifications, they can be tailored to suit the learner’s need.
There are no final exams. Instead, NVQ’s focus on the learners skills, knowledge and behaviour within the workplace.
There are no academic entry requirements, but candidates must be working in a position in which they can gain the evidence necessary to prove competent performance.
The University of South Wales offers two NVQ’s qualifications:
- NVQ’s in Supply Chain Management Level 3 and 5 are nationally recognised qualifications derived from the Supply Chain Management and Logistics National Occupational Standards (NOS) in consultation with UK organisations and their managers in the public, private and voluntary sectors. The NVQ promotes best practice in the main commercial aspects of procurement, contract management and inventory and skills management.
- NVQ’s in Management and Leadership at Levels 5 and 7 (Strategic Management & Leadership). These qualifications are nationally recognised and will allow you to gain recognition for the skills, knowledge and understanding gained within your vocational area. Based on the National Occupational Standards, they have been developed by the Management Standards Centre (MSC) through consultation with UK organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
